Action scoops best voluntary service award

Action Institute for Environment, Health and Development Communication scored a first to win the first prize under all voluntary organisations which exhibited in the Harare Agricultural Show held from 24-29 August 2009.

Action IEHDC received a Rothmans Floating Trophy for the Best Voluntary Services Display during the official opening of the Harare Agricultural Show on Friday 29 August 2009.

Action IEHDC, exhibited under the National AIDS Council (NAC) and Zimbabwe AIDS Network Harare Province banner in the Rajiv Gandi Hall, which saw 40 other AIDS service organisations participating in the same hall. This year´s Harare Agricultural Show ran under the theme “Zimbabwe Agricultural Show 99 and Still Going”.

Action IEHDC, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare and the NAC launched the OneLove Campaign in Zimbabwe in June 2009. Action also displayed both “Action Pals” and “Action for Life” materials during the Harare Agriculture Show. Hundreds of people both children and adults visited the Action IEHDC show stand, whose attractions were mainly the latest “Action Pals 3 Tomorrow is Ours” booklet and OneLove materials.

The children´s brand for Action IEHDC was a crowd puller during the Harare Agricultural Show. Here children jostle to get the latest “Action Pals 3 Tomorrow is Ours” booklet, which is the third edition of the “Action Pals” booklets at the Action stand.
