This unique series of love stories from across Southern Africa, explore the many faces of love.  10 stories from 10 countries speak of love and desire in a time of HIV & AIDS. 

Love - stories in a time of HIV & AIDS builds on the success of the Untold Series bringing together new and exciting talent from across the region.  Untold, was successfully broadcast in 2009 across 9 countries in Southern Africa and research showed that the series was well received with good impact.  Untold has been internationally recognized and films shown at film festivals in both Europe and America. 

Love - stories in a time of HIV & AIDS, addresses the issue of multiple concurrent partners in a fresh, often surprising and challenging way.  The series is part of the OneLove campaign. 

All films are sub-titled in English.

Synopsis
When Shingi’s husband  Simba, tells  her he is  taking a second wife Tariro, she is devastated.  Simba  tells her it is  tradition and he still loves her.  But  Shingi won’t accept his explanation and decides to find out the truth about his new bride.  In her quest  to find out more  she discovers a  hidden secret, she wishes would go away.

Synopsis
Lerato, a young girl from a village in Botswana, leaves home to go to university in Gaborone.  She is bright and full of hope, the first girl from her village to make it to university. Lerato will do whatever it takes to fit in and be admired. So she gets involved in a risky relationship with an older man. But when she meets Monamodi a young and passionate artist, she falls in love and finds that things she has done, can’t as easily be undone.

Synopsis
Set in a village in the Eastern Cape, Nomandla is in the final stages of her traditional Xhosa wedding to Makhosi who she has loved for many years.  On her special day, she discovers a terrible truth which her mother is determined to hide.   But Nomandla wants something different for her life.  But what can she do now, on her wedding day.

Synopsis
On the surface Jeremiah and Monalisa are a happily married couple.  He is a deacon in the church and she sings in the church choir.    But underneath they are trapped in an unhappy marriage.  Monalisa longs for love and affection and is about to risk everything to have it.   When her teenage daughter discovers the truth, Monalisa is forced to make the hardest choice of her life.

Synopsis    
Set in Windhoek’s Khomasdal township, Granny Mouton survives by cooking food on the streets. It’s tough making ends meet.  So it’s a dream come true when the owner of a successful car wash offers her a place to cook for his customers. But things take a nasty turn, when it appears that his real motive is her beautiful and innocent granddaughter, Jenny.

Synopsis
In this light and romantic comedy, a newly wed couple return from their honeymoon.  But it was not a success. Tinyade wants to talk about it, but it makes her husband, Limbikani, very uncomfortable. So he talks to his old friend Kenson instead, who gives him really bad advice on how to prove he is a real man again.

Synopsis
Motsami Raliselo, leads a double life.  He often leaves his wife and kids to travel for work.  But it is not only work he does on these trips through Lesotho.  One day he learns he is HIV positive and sets off in anger to find and blame the woman who gave him the virus.   But on the way he learns a very different lesson.

Synopsis
Amani  and Faraja  are in love and they have just moved in together.  One night  Amani  stays out all night drinking in a bar with his  friends.  Faraja is angry  but forgives him.  Will Amani have the courage to tell her what really happened that night?   Will their relationship survive if he does, but  how  will she be safe if he doesn’t?

Synopsis
